Some of the largest superyachts may have a submarine in their tender garage, but how many actually are a submarine?

This concept by Italian Naval Architech Elena Nappi is capable of diving to depths of 985 feet for 10 days at a time.

Having a superyacht to show off is high on the list of many UHNWI but having one that disappears could now be the next trend.


Carapace would stand out anyway, thanks to a breathtaking tech-meets-organic aesthetic with flowing curves that travel from bow to stern, featuring several on-deck entertainment areas, including a beach club complete with a pool.

But what makes Carapace so unique is its light aluminium superstructure, which can be completely sealed up so that it can operate underwater. The designer believes this capability will offer travellers a truly private getaway.
