Crestron was at Monaco Yacht Show exhibiting state of the art integrated control solutions designed to deliver the ultimate off-shore luxury lifestyle showing integrators, ETO’s, yacht owners and potential yacht buyers the latest marine solutions and trends.
Joanna Palmer, editor of Superyacht Technology spoke to Robin Van Meeuwen, CEO of Crestron EMEA, during the show to find out more about their products. With 22 years’ experience in the industry Robin really is an expert on technology and a great lover of the sea, so expanding Crestron into the residential and marine markets has been a focus. Crestron has exhibited at the last 7 Monaco Yacht Shows, he says its essential to attend in order to stay up to date with market trends.
Robin talks to Joanna about the evolution for Crestron from entertainment providers to architects of the entire environment system of the yacht. Clients can have complete control of the system without limits using user-friendly,un-complicated stylish control systems for simultaneously managing security, blinds, lighting, heating and air con (including Crestron’s brand-new Horizontal Sheers fully integrated lighting and shading control created specifically for superyachts).
When implementing the system into a yacht Crestron touch screens, handheld remotes, and keypads are strategically placed throughout the vessel for convenient control of the audio and video distributed to the 30 high-resolution displays, speakers and subwoofers.
NVX is the latest ground-breaking digital media product offering the best image quality. It is infinitely scalable with no latency. Using a standard 1 Gigabit Ethernet the system provides network security. The NVX has a web-based control and management system meaning it can be controlled from anywhere onboard.
