Electronics manufacturer Furuno recently released a new network multi-beam sonar, the DFF-3D. The equipment can turn any NavNet TZtouch or TZtouch2 MFD into a multi-beam sonar, capable of seeing 120-degrees port to starboard.
The DFF-3D is capable of sidebar detection of up to 200m/600ft and allows the user to see the depth and direction in which schools of fish are moving. Seabed conditions are also available to display in real time with deep water penetration directly under the boat at approximately 300m/980ft.
With a customizable display and an easy installation, the DFF-3D is definitely a worthy addition to any aspiring angler with a NavNet TZtouch device.
That image is not of the Furuno DFF-3D, but of the WASSP Multibeam Sonar.
Furuno DFF-3D is for sports fishing and leisure use, WASSP Multibeam sonar is for professional use on yachts and commercial fishing vessels.
