Following the immense success of this year’s show in Barcelona, Superyacht Technology Network (SYT Network) has announced a major expansion of its Superyacht Technology Show for 2025 with the inclusion of a Hybrid Electric Zone.

With up to 35 yachts located in a custom dock at Port Vell Marina adjacent to the show at the World Trade Centre, the new show-within-a-show will highlight advances in alternative fuel and sustainable energy solutions by showcasing the latest technology in action aboard the exhibiting vessels.

The dedicated space will enhance and complement the extensive systems technology on show in the World Trade Centre and provide a platform for the leading superyacht builders and supporting industries who are incorporating innovative hybrid and electric developments in new projects. The new zone will be accessed by EV cars and electric on-water tenders to compliment the Hybrid Electric theme.

This substantial expansion of the show’s offering has been facilitated by additional investment from major shareholder and industry veteran Will Faimatea in line with his drive for positive change in the industry.

Director of SYT Network Jack Robinson is enthusiastic about an exciting future for the event and says the Hybrid Electric Zone will add a significant new dimension which has been welcomed by superyacht yards around the globe.

He said: “We have been discussing the development of sustainable power systems with superyacht builders, designers and project managers from all the leading companies around the world, and they have been unanimous in their desire to separate technology and brokerage at shows in the future to allow them to focus more on the yacht buyers. In response, our 2025 event will be unique in reflecting that demand.

Our goal is to be a key influencer in the changing landscape of superyacht and hybrid technology, so we are delighted that we have been able to secure this amazing facility at Port Vell for our show in March 2025. Yachts from world-leading manufacturers will be docked in this important marina to highlight their latest and future technology for both power and sail.”

General Manager of Port Vell Ignacio Erroz commented: “This will be the first show of its kind to focus purely on the many technologies required to sustainably manage the modern superyachts of the future. It is a rapidly growing and changing market and we are proud that Jack and his team have chosen Port Vell as the window into this exciting future.”

The 2025 Hybrid Electric Zone at Port Vell will be adjacent to over 200 exhibitor booths in the World Trade Centre, in addition to an even larger conference event with relevant, fast-moving topics and stunning visual presentations on a level not seen before, plus a host of social and VIP events.

The fourth edition of the Superyacht Technology Show will be held in Barcelona World Trade Centre and Port Vell Marina from 18th March 2025.
