Sub-designers U-Boat Worx describe their new HiPer Sub 2 as the ultimate two-person sports submarine. The vessel – now available to buy – is said to be easy to handle, needs very little maintenance and is fully certified by DNV GL.
With this new superyacht toy, you can sail at 6 knots and make rolls, loopings, steep turns and vertical ascents and descents. The intuitive joystick controls are designed to be reminiscent of a fighter jet.
Diving a depth of 100m and lasting for six hours at a time, the 2,480kg vessel may well be cropping up at a superyacht near you very soon. However, even off-season and away from your yacht you can still dive the HiPer Sub 2. Due to its small size and low weight, it can also be towed behind your car to any marina for a day’s diving.
