Kerry Pettitt came to visit us at the Superyacht Technology News Head Quarters and we got to hear what he has been up to since joining SMART Technology Advisers as Consultant Commercial Director. This was last month, where Pettitt and our editor Jack chatted about technology within the superyacht industry and Kerry’s involvement with various charities.
Kerry has had a very full career within the yachting industry, being a co-founder of Orbis-Yachts and with past titles including Commercial Director at VBH and Director of Sales at MTN, and so we were intrigued to find out about his new role at SMART. He is also an ambassador for Sail4Cancer, a cause which he recently supported at the International Superyacht Society’s annual Regatta, and is a founder and trustee of the Superyacht Charities.
As such, we felt honoured to receive Kerry’s praise on the magazine, and to hear that we are achieving our mission of opening up communication between technical crew and companies selling technology. “What you have done and done quite successfully is that you got the industry talking tech again,” he said.
We look forward to talking more with him in the future, and to getting to know SMART better in terms of what they do, how they do it, and the other individuals who make up the company.
